MIDDLE SCHOOL SPANISH TEACHER

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION: To help students learn by imparting knowledge to them and by planning and implementing instructional practices in which students can and will learn effectively.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal, Assistant  Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction & PPS 

SUPERVISES: Classroom support staff

The Greenwood Lake UFSD  is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Middle School Spanish Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. The successful candidate will provide engaging instruction to students in grades 7–8, fostering language acquisition, cultural awareness, and communication skills in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of middle school instructional practices

• Ability to create engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills

• Commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver standards-based Spanish instruction for grades 7–8

• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback

• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Collaborate with colleagues to support student success

• Participate in school and district professional development activities

• Valid New York State Certification in Spanish 7-12

• Must meet NYSED Fingerprinting requirements
