LONG-TERM LEAVE REPLACEMENT TEACHER ASSISTANT
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Immediately through April 20, 2026 (possibly longer)
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION: Assists the certificated teacher in regular instructional classroom activities.
REPORTS TO: The assigned certificated teacher, principal and/or supervisors.
JOB GOAL: Provide support to students and the classroom learning environment by implementing instructional strategies and using instructional materials designed by the classroom teacher.
PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists the teacher in the instructional program.

May substitute for a classroom teacher as assigned by an administrator.

Assists the teacher in the supervision of the students.

Assists in evaluating and grading of both written and oral tests.

Assists in maintaining an inventory of supplies and equipment and assists in the distribution of same.

Assists in the development of appropriate student work habits and supports established classroom routines.

Helps to familiarize the student with proper health and safety procedures.

Assists in any other related area that may be necessary and assigned by the classroom teacher or administration.

Reports any unsafe conditions to program administrator.

Follows safety procedures in carrying out instructional program.

Carries out all duties in accordance with Greenwood Lakes UFSD policies, regulations and practices.

Follows the established guidelines of the Employee Handbook.

Performs any other related duties as assigned by the teacher, supervisor, and/or principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Duration of Leave; Work Day, Salary as established by Board policy
LOCATIONS WHERE WORK MAY BE PERFORMED: On-site or remotely as may be required.
