Job Description

The Greenwood Lake Union Free School District is seeking a licensed leave replacement School Psychologist for our Middle School. (Grades 4-8).  The successful candidate will:

  • Assist in facilitating learning by promoting the cognitive, social, and personal development of all students.  He/she will be expected to:

  • Administer comprehensive psychological evaluations

  • Successfully chair CSE/504 meetings and IEP development

  • Conduct individual and small group counseling

  • Communicate effectively with parents and students

  • Work collaboratively and in a consultative model with staff and administrators

  • Increase achievement by assessing barriers to learning and determining the best strategies to improve learning

  • Promote wellness and resilience by teaching social skills, problem solving, anger management, self-regulation, and optimism

 

 

Job Qualifications

Valid New York State certification and licensure is mandatory.X
